  • Glamour Magazine wanted a web experience which allows users to uncover the changing face of the American Selfie. Utilizing Instagram, and Google map APIs, we developed a tool that allowed users to check to see, shop, and share America’s hottest looks.

  • I was tasked with designing a fully functional, responsive UI within the existing glamour.com/lipstick ecosystem. The design challenge was trying to fit a bevy of UI features within a contained hero area. A lot of design-thinking had to be done in order to not only have a fully functioning Google Maps API integration, but to have the corresponding pieces of UI map back to and interact with it. This was particularly tricky because we wanted to make sure usability standards was intact for both desktop and mobile.

  • Besides being a design challenge, this was also an exercise in strategy and copywriting. The only mandate was to make an interactive selfie map and to somehow tie in CoverGirl products, but some strategic thinking had to be done in order to come up with exactly how we wanted to achieve that.
