I joined the Copa Airlines team within Prolific Interactive to help with UX and design for their web check-in experience, and would eventually move on to a global role when they decided to make pick up the agency for their app following a very successful working relationship with the former project.

The work was systematic and technical (as is the nature of the airlines industry), and the effort in both designs and scoping was immense. With a lot of moving parts involving three teams in three countries, we kept a tight ship while maintaining a fantastic working relationship with Copa—who would regard this as one of their best endeavors to date.

Full-Stack design

Three different teams residing in different countries and a total of over 50 people involved, coupled with the deeply technical nature of the airlines industry meant we had to be on point with our leadership in structure and scope.

From spreadsheets to workshops, our commitment to having a solid working structure allowed us all to punch above our weight and create great designs for a deserving & grateful client.

Systematic Approach

As with our structure, the designs themselves required a very systematic eye and an ability to create accurate and informative designs while dealing with a ton of information. This systematic approach also allowed our development firm to recreate our designs in a lightweight, accurate, and timely manner.

(Design details such as building a UI that mimics (to-scale) Copa's entire fleet were just one of the many challenges in regards to having a systematic approach.)
